Must Try P.F. Chang’s Vegan and Vegetarian Options in 2025

P.F. Chang’s does not have a dedicated vegan menu, but several dishes can be made vegan with small changes. Although vegan options don't have a lot of variety, it’s possible to enjoy a full plant-based meal at P.F. Chang’s.

    Vegan Appetizers

    Chili Garlic Green Beans

Vegan Chili Garlic Green Beans served on a black plate.

Chili Garlic Green Beans are wok-fried with spicy red chili sauce, fresh garlic, and Sichuan preserves. Naturally vegan and full of flavor, they’re a great starter or side for any plant-based meal at P.F. Chang’s.

    Vegetarian Chang’s Lettuce Wraps

Cooked minced veggies along with crisp lettuce leaves and an orange color sauce on the side.

Vegetarian Chang’s Lettuce Wraps are made with tofu, mushrooms, and water chestnuts, cooked in a savory vegetarian sauce and served with crisp lettuce cups. They’re typically vegan since P.F. Chang’s uses a mushroom-based oyster sauce.

Some locations have updated the recipe with breaded tofu or sweeter sauces, so it’s best to confirm with your server that no dairy, egg, or fish ingredients are included.

    Crispy Avocado Rolls (Seasonal)

These Traditional rolls with cubed avocado are a must-try. These are available at selected locations.

    Entrées

P.F. Chang’s vegan entrées are limited, with most options being sides, appetizers, or customizable dishes. The main entrées you can get include:

    Buddha’s Feast (Steamed or Stir-Fried)

    Stir-fry vegan Buddha feast bowl.

Buddha’s Feast at P.F. Chang’s is a tofu, asparagus, shiitake mushroom, broccoli, and carrot dish served steamed or stir-fried. Pair it with soy or chili sauce and steamed rice for a complete plant-based meal.

    Ma Po Tofu

Ma Po Tofu served on a bed of steamed broccoli.

Ma Po Tofu at P.F. Chang’s is a crispy silken tofu dish served in a spicy red chili sauce, accompanied by steamed broccoli. It’s dairy and egg-free, but may contain oyster or fish sauce, so please confirm with the server to ensure it's vegan.

    Side Dishes

P.F. Chang’s offers simple, plant-based sides that can be paired with any entrée:

    • Steamed White Rice

    A Sample Vegan Meal

My go-to, or you can say the only option we are left with, is

    • Starter: Chili Garlic Green Beans
    • Entrée: Buddha’s Feast (stir-fried with tofu, no oyster sauce)
    • Side: Steamed Brown Rice
    • Drink: House Lemonade

    PF Chang's Vegetarian Menu

Here’s a list of additional vegetarian options at P.F. Chang’s. These dishes are meat-free and suitable for vegetarians, and many can be made vegan with a few modifications just be sure to explain your needs clearly to the server so they can help customize your order.

    • Edamame Beans (Ask to stir-fry without butter and in salt only to make it vegan)
    • Mongolian Tofu
    • Fried Rice
    • Signature Lo Mein
    • Pad Thai
    • Cold Cucumber Salad

Many vegetarian dishes at P.F. Chang’s use sauces with oyster, fish, or honey. Asian sauces often include anchovies or shellfish, but these are listed in the allergen guide. Just ask to skip those sauces and stick to simple soy or chili sauce instead.

    Ordering Tips

    To modify these vegetarian dishes

    • Skip the oyster sauce, honey, and other sauces that contain egg, dairy, or fish.
    • Request no egg in fried rice, noodles, and spring roll wrappers.
    • Request soy sauce instead of oyster sauce in vegetarian dishes.
    • Ask for rice noodles if wheat noodles contain egg.
    • Check for seasonal or rotating plant-based specials.
